OT Jean Lewuillon ON8RA / 5T0JL ex F3LJ, 9Q5LJ, 9X5AB, W3/ON8RA, W6/ON8RA, became a Silent Key on 8 August aged 89. He was an inspiration in the world of Morse Code to many with his energy, enthusiasm, vision, and principles.

It is OT Jean that inspired and advised on the QTT idea. I wanted to compromise with advocating for a maximum split of 1kHz on 30m, but Jean convinced me with his arguments, that even 80Hz is more than enough when you use your brain as the filter, and there is no excuse for any split operations, especially on 30m. It is in his honor, that we now live by this principle and refuse to follow the illegal at worst and immoral at best orders of DX stations to violate this principle. We will call on frequency, when the DX station is not transmitting, or we won't call at all. It is the only honorable position.

Please take up his vision and guidance in favour of a return to proper CW operations, as we knew it in original amateur radio, and have allowed to degenerate.
