Fundamental Question: What is the point of learning CW if it is not going to be used in practical pursuits? Was it simply so one could establish the weird habit of checking in to CW nets, some of which purport to be traffic nets, then to send only QRU, week-after-week, month-after-month, year-after-year?
Since few if any still handle third party traffic, there will NEVER be any traffic waiting for you on a net if you have not initiated traffic yourself, so why check-in? I'm bemused, is anyone able to explain what that illogical login habit achieves please?
